The Port of Málaga is located in the center of the city of Málaga, and it can be accessed by road by two points, depending on the final destination: to go to the Levante cruise terminals, it must be accessed by the “Paseo de la Farola” and “Paseo de Levante”, and to go to any other point, access is made through the entrance of San Andrés, which is located in the western part of the port, on the Antonio Machado promenade. There is a barrier access at Muelle Heredia, only for authorized vehicles. For its part, Muelle Uno offers two underground public car parks, one of them on the corner with the Palmeral de las Sorpresas, and the other next to La Farola.
On foot there are several points of access; we can highlight the pedestrian entrance on Plaza de la Marina, Muelle Uno or Muelle Heredia.
A public bus line has been enabled to connect the Levante terminals with the pedestrian entrance of Plaza de la Marina, whenever there is a cruise ship docked in the Muelle de Levante.
The Port of Málaga is connected to its hinterland, which includes Andalusia, the southern half of the peninsula and the south of Portugal, by road through the A-45 Málaga motorway (North-South) and the A-7 / AP-7 Highway and Autopista del Mediterráneo (East – West), which can be easily accessed through the “New access to the port of Málaga through the Intermediate Roundabout – San Andrés”.
There is rail access for merchandise inside the port that reaches the dock itself in the case of docks 6-7. The proximity of the Málaga-María Zambrano train station, located 1km away, allows a quick distribution of the merchandise.
This same train station has connections for passengers with all of Spain, highlighting the AVE- High Speed Railway – to Madrid in 2h30. The Málaga-Costa del Sol international airport is only 10 km away, offering connections to Spain, Europe and the world.
