Hotel Project on the Dique de Levante

On the platform of the Dique de Levante of the Port of Málaga, recently created for the reform of the port area, between the maritime cruise station and the marina of the Club Mediterráneo, the construction of a five-star Grand Luxury hotel is planned, of 135 meters of height that will become the new visual icon of the maritime panorama of the city. The project, prepared by the architect Jose Seguí commissioned by the Al Bidda promoter and building group, of Qatar (which operates in this case under the brand Andalusian Hospitality II), has been chosen in the public tender called by the Port Authority for its administrative concession.

The designed building consists of a basement and a tower that, together, reaches 35 floors (one of them, towards the middle, intended for technical installations). In the lower part, access to the hotel and most of the services and complementary and leisure uses are distributed. Thus, next to the lobby, the breakfast room opens; an events room and a garden area with a large “infinity” pool (without curbs). There will also be an auditorium, especially focused on the celebration of congresses; a casino and a commercial area with shops and restaurants.

In the tower itself, next to the rooms, a top-level restaurant, open to the public, with panoramic views, has been planned on the top floor; as well as a bar and a health and beauty center. The tower will be crowned with a photovoltaic installation, to reduce energy costs. Under the whole complex will open an underground parking.
